Its a struggle but Im trying

this is prob not a good action shot
but I wanted to post to see how my nonexistent skills with LR4 are
C and C as always

The PP looks good to me. The white uniforms are tough but you seem to have handled that nicely. I don't see much overexposure.

the litmus for any white balance is skin tone, and that looks good to me here.

some players its tough

It's not bad processing.

You say you're struggling? Are you using any books to help you learn the capabilities of the software? When I attempt to learn new software, I like to buy a recommended instructional book ahead of time and read through and highlight the specific things I want to learn or get out of the software. Once I install it, I've got a good idea of what I can do with it and it then becomes practicing what I've already read. It's helped me a lot with LR and Photoshop and lessened the learning curve and frustration quite a bit.

but Im getting through it

think of it like one of you guys trying to digest a play book
I write them so its easy for me
a lot of this is easy for you guys
Im just doing the photo playbook now
not a football playbook

Thats a good way to look at it. It all starts to click into place after awhile. Keep at it. You've already improved quite a bit from your first posts.

Its a great shot. I even like the composition. Its not easy to frame fast action and you've done well here. Great WB and tone and no over-saturation. Too many people make that mistake. Nice shot all around.
