i saw this little guy in the bushes while i was picking up some gear from the last video shoot I did, and had to pull out my camera and get some captures. Unfortunately for the squirrel, his back legs were seemingly paralyzed (he wasn't too far from both tall trees and the road), but fortunately for me, he didn't move around much. I shot these using my 10D, m42 adapter, and an old manual-everything vivitar 128mm f/2.8 prime at 2.8

#1 is too cute... I would love a pet squirrel one day... So sad to hear he was hurt. I would of probably took him home with me if he would of let me get to him. So sad to see any animals hurt.

he was pretty aggressive, so i kept my distance and grabbed my 135. the minimum focusing distance with that lens on my camera is about 6 feet, so i was plenty far away.

I like the second one; it kinda looks like he has a bit of a grin going, with the light hairs above his lip looking like little teeth.

Nice, very sad to hear he was hurt. I know many of you don't like them but I have to say you guys are so lucky to have them, it is one thing I wish we had down here.

thanks everyone, i'm really happy with these. i'm also extremely happy with the bokeh of my 135 2.8 m42, this is the first time i've really used it for anything and love it now.
