Its funny to see such drastic responses to the same product. I just came from another site and the general consensus was it is "Mind Blowing".

What is mind blowing about it? It's a new iPhone with a bigger screen. The only people who care are already fanboys.

As with most smartphones today.

That's true with every phone from generation to next generation

My wife will be jumping on one pronto, she's a hardcore Apple fan-girl and doesn't hide it, which is fair enough.

Me? I moved from the iPhone and iOS to the HTC One X and Android and it was a decidedly liberating experience (and I say that having no love for Google as they screwed over my business (website) to the point I've had to sack my entire staff).

Still, this new iteration will, of course, sell like the proverbial hot cakes but, nope, doesn't interest me except as a bystander with a tech interest.

The One X is the best piece of hardware WITH the best piece of software I have ever used. It just eclipses my BlackBerry 9000.

I think if you keep knocking Apple you can prevent it from being a $1 Trillion dollar company. LOL

Another great thing is the value the older iphones hold so upgrading is usually free or you can even make a little if you've kept your previous phone in excellent condition. I'll probably get around $200 for my iphone 4 on ebay which is pretty much the price of the 16g iphone 5. So it's really a no-brainer.

Currently at $250 on Gazelle.com for exelent condition iPhones.

Cannot wait to get my hands on it. It's gonna be a great upgrade from the 4; not to mention its about 4 times faster! I am now an Apple fan. I don't get all the apple hate... I use it because "It just works". It works beautifully for me, the gaming interface is amazing, and it's what I'm used to.

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

I am a hard core apple fan girl. I use it because, like Darin said, it just works. I have an android (my touch 4g from tmobile) and I hate that piece of garbage. Crashes a lot and I've had to factory reset that crud phone many times. Even sis in law's phone (Samsung galaxy s ii) feels like it is made out of plastic and seems to lock up every time I play with the galaxy.

We (husband and myself) will be transferring to another courier when this contract runs out this spring. I am deciding on either the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, or the blackberry touch screen that could be out by then. I will most likely be getting the iPhone 5 by what I'm reading about it, but I might also save a little cash and get the 4s.

Thanks, I'll check that out. I've always used ebay since I have my iphone 3G to sell and then upgrade, but I'll see who has the better deal.

Does anyone know what's gonna happen if we pre-order the phone? Wouldn't I still have to walk to ATT to get a new SIM card anyways? LOL

I'm also seeing they have a 3GB data plan now rather than 2GB ...tempting!!

5GB if you get tethering too!

It uses a nano SIM instead of a micro, so you're going to need a different SIM.
Yep. I'm definitely getting the 3gb, not sure about the 5. It'd sure be nice. Do you remember how much it is? Is it $50?
I think the 3 is only $5 more than I'm paying now, at $30.

Yeah I saw 3GB around $30 a month and 5GB for $50 a month!

The nice thing abou the 5Gb is that I can tether my laptop and iPad on the road..... I wonder how much overages are with that plan; if I run 3 devices, it's gonna drain. Netflix is not easy on Data on a 4 hour trip!
AT&t, PLEASE bring back unlimited!
(not holding my breathe here).

I own the Galaxy S3. It is the best phone on the planet as of this writing. It will eat the iPhone 5 for breakfast.
