So I've managed to move over my images, catalogues, develop settings etc. from my old XP to my new Windows 7-based computer. But there are a couple of things that I just can't seem to make work.

1-Camera defaults. On my XP, the images I import would default to certain develop settings according to both camera model + ISO. Now they do not (or rather: they default to Adobes defaults, not mine). I know how to re-do this, but I was wondering how to just 'import' these settings from my old setup. Where is this file(s) located ?

2-Lens profile. I noticed that as I loaded up a (transferred) catalog on my new win 7 setup and looked at a particular image, the lens correction portion was unchecked as if it couldn't find the correct lens profile. Now I'm positive that I HAD initiated the lens correction feature on this particular image. My thought was that I possibly downloaded more profiles on my old computer and chose one of those when developing and those lens profiles just didn't make it over in the migration. But i don't know. The profile was a 17-40 F/4L and I use a canon 5d classic.

Any thoughts on the above ?

Well, I don't have all the answers...

Lens profiles are in your Lightroom installation, I believe, but the location for LR3 seems to be different from LR4. In LR4 they are in the Resources folder. I'm not sure about LR3.

As to Develop presets and preferences, I'm not sure...

You probably will get knowledgeable answers in the Adobe Lightroom Community/Users forum or another forum dedicated to Lightroom!
