Very cool! How did get that "melted" look (don't know if there's a more precise technical term for it)?

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I think its a Photoshop plugin called pixel bender? Could be wrong though...

ding ding neimad19 is correct. I merged 3 shots in HDR then ran it through pixelbender.

Thanx

:D Nice work.

Ahh a HDR, thats what it was. I was looking at it thinking to myself "Damn, I wish I could balance the EV like that.." Do you mind posting the non-pixelbent HDR of the image? Its a really nicely composed shot.

I'm liking the first one better. If you're gonna go non-natural, go all the way.

Pretty cool. If I were Salvador Dalí drinking absinthe down by the water i'm pretty sure this is what I would see.

I agree that if you're going to go with serious modifications, you should go for it 100% and create what you want. The HDR un-bent version looks like a well-composed photograph, but over-processed in saturation and contrast.
