The 5DII is no longer a viable option for Canon at its price point.

In fact, the D600 might be worth leaving Canon for.

I'll be getting one of the two (d600 or 6D(?)) and I - too - will be waiting Canon's response , i'm pretty sure it'll be more expensive but hopefully as good (or even better specs)

The bad part about switching, if you're like me, is that you've been hunting for deals on all your gear for Canon and ignored everything else.

D600 looks pretty good. If I was a Nikon user (and didn't have a D800 already, which I probably would), I'd be thrilled.

I just have to laugh at all the nerds that were just convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was going to be $1500.

I'd be fine with a single CF :)

yea but features wise things like that make the canon camera look weaker and of course the AF points. (of course in saying that, doesn't mean that a canon camera would be slower. Fast AF processing across the whole range even with less AF points will beat a large number of AF points with slow AF processing)

It will now be interesting to see if canon release a camera that's in the same range. Even if they leave it until the start of next year that's a good amount of time for a good number of users to switch. Shame it would cost me a good few K to switch

My question is why not 1 SD and 1 CF card or something :/

I dunno, I'd be happier with a single CF card personally because i already HAVE CF cards.... I mean I guess its not the end of the world to buy a few good SD cards..but still
