Go Tamron!

Thinking a price of about $1200-$1300 on the 70-200 and $650 on the 90mm...

I do wonder though, how good is Tamron's weather sealing compared to the Canon lenses?

Well from the picture, they already messed up the the direction the zoom ring spins and more importantly I'll assume they also have the focus ring spinning the Nikon way. In doing DSLR video, this just confuses me.

for those that don't care about ring direction though, I am sure these lenses will be great.

They are both weather sealed?? Wow! Tamron is really doing things. I REALLY like the fact that this 90mm doesn't have that crazy deep recess in the lens. Hated that. These are very clean looking lenses :)

So it'll be just like the Siggy 70-200 OS. Don't see much differences between the two

If the new Tamron 70-200mm is as sharp as the old one, it will be a winner!

Not to mention, I'm pretty sure you could be falling down a flight of stairs and get a solid shot with their VC on the lens...:p I seriously wish they'd just form a partnership with Canon where Canon makes the lens and Tamron makes the stabilization system.

Agreed, the VC on my wife's 70-300 VC is way better than the IS on my F/4 IS or the F/2.8 IS IIs I've used.

The tamron was always sharper than the Siggy in tests but the 17-50 VC is not a patch on the non VC version.
