In Australia at my local shop the D600 is priced about the same as the (discounted since release) outgoing 5D2. That being $2500 AUD

Sep 13, 2012 08:32 | #17 Sony also introduced their full frame A99. Can't wait to see what Canon has to offer, or if they do. Canon 6D & 7D. Panasonic GX85 and a number of ever changing lenses.

Without AFMA, I will wait to see what Canon brings to the table. I have both a 60D and a 7D and I can tell you from experience that AFMA is a very desirable feature I would not want to be without if possible. Diane

I absolutely love my Canon and didn't fancy the setup of the D700 because it just seems lack luster in terms of grip-ability. Just seemed like it did not fit in my hands as well as the Canon bodies. The 5d3 still has better iso performance and a slew of other features. Not saying this is a bad camera, it seems like nice bang for the buck. Canon EOS 6D, Canon 24-70mm 2.8 Mk I, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS MK II, Sigma 35mm 1.4, Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro, 600EX-RT, 430EX II, 430EX, Transceivers, Bags, Tripods, Cables, Trigger Trap.

Sep 13, 2012 09:39 | #27 Neilyb wrote in post #14985023 It is not meant to compete with the 5DIII, IMO, no AF micro adjust, max speed 1/4000 sec, Lower end body with more plastic, only 9 cross type AF points....etc... it is however a direct competition to the 5DmkII or next incarnation thereof. Could well be we see a 5D Rebel ti ![]() I was suprised too, could be I had info. I doubt they would leave that off. http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com

Photography is about GEAR and not talent or practice. Practice won't make you a better photographer. Expensive equipment will. =D

More interesting to me is what Sony did for the A99. Same sensor mp as this D600 which does make you wonder if it's the same but the sony seems more full featured. http://bubble-trees.com/
