Will 24-70 II outresolve a 35L on 5D Mark III?

I will replace my 35L when Canon offer a 24-70L f/1.4 and it doesn't even have to out-resolve the 35L. Just be the same. :)

Depends on what you mean by "outresolve". If you mean higher resolution of fine details under identical settings and conditions, it is possible but will be subtle. If the 35L doesn't meet your current needs you might need a sensor upgrade rather than lense.
