Very nice capture. Looks like a tricolored black bird, not a redwing, with the yellow stripe right below the red. I could be wrong. Actually, the Redwing does have a yellow band below the red shoulder patch. The Tricolored, in addition to being uncommon and largely restricted to the California coastal area, has a white edging to the red patch. Jon

recrisp Goldmember More info | Beautiful shot, I really like the way you handled this one. I love Redwing Blackbirds, they are hard to get good shot here, they are very skittish.
