Hmm, are you sure?

AFAIK:
7D: 5,184 × 3,456 (17.9 megapixels)
5DII: 5,616 × 3,744 (21.1 megapixels)

The 5DII has more pixels. The 7D has higher pixel density, though.

D'oh!

Higher Pixel Density = Higher Noise.

Ah, that would explain why my 7D is noisier than my 20D, and why the 5D MkIII is noisier than the 5D classic.

Oh, wait. They're not!

I have both bodies you are interested in buying and as previously mentioned, if Landscapes was your main interest, I would go for the 5d11, and if it was wildlife I would go for the 7d.
They are both excellent cameras and you would not be disappointed with either.
In your case I would probably suggest going for the 7d, as it will give you the extra reach and AF for wildlife and will still deliver for landscapes.

Hmm. The 5D mk2 is rather obviously sharper in that thread,

You obviously have better eyes than me cause its pretty darn close on my Cinema Series monitor -

If landscape shooting is your thing, you'll want the 5DMKII, I've seen pics from both Canon and Nikon full frame cameras and they are absolutely stunning! Oh, and I shoot with a 7D.
