Just curious as having helped on one or two weddings and asked to do one I wonder should I upgrade.I would only be using a 50 and 85 f1.8 prime on this and a 7d as the main with 17-50 and 50-135 f2.8 zooms. Thanks

Sep 17, 2012 05:13 | #7 Thanks all. Just in quick response renting is not really an option where i live. I probably will only use it in fair to good light, even though ISO 1250 seems very usable after a clean up in lightroom. As I was saying the 7d will be my main camera. Part of me knows that a 5d, 1, 2 or 3 would be a better option for lower light and I may go down that route eventually. I have used the 1ds as a second shooter happily. I only asked as I feel a little bit more responsible if I am the primary shooter even though my gear has not limited me yet. flickr

If people can use the 5D, they can use the 1D. Weight is subjective...heavy for one is no problem for another. Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here

The ISO1250 limitation is challenging in low light because I'm used to ISO1600. Although it's only 1/3 stop less.
