Langdale valley

Taken from somewhere near Spedding Crag this is a shot of the Langdale Valley bathed in sunlight just after the above clouds (and rain) passed.
I had to wait a while to get this shot but I love the Langdales and,to me, this shot typifies the Lake District.

For Lake District walkers Harrison Stickle is peaking out on the right and is that Pike O Stickle just starting to show or Loft Crag ?

That is a special scene, Cameron. You did well to capture the mood conveyed by the clouds.

A very Pictorial image Cameron, those dark foreground clouds really frame the picture and guide your eye through the valley below an excellent capture.

Well cameron im hoping to get back into some serious walking in the not too distant future again,

Ive been carrying a foot injury for nearly 8 months now,so ive not been out and about as often as i normally am im afraid,
my last two excursions up in glen-coe resulted in utter dismal weather and the camera didnt leave the car im afraid.

Im off on holiday now for 2 weeks so fingers crossed im hoping to go up to rannoch moor over the next few days to shoot around there and
Lochan na h'Achlaise area i tend to try and not cover the same old ground all the time ,also im intending in making a dent in the munros in the near future so watch this space as they say

as before cameron seasons greetings to you and your wife and best wishes for the new year,your shots have been a joy to behold recently especially since you upgraded the camara earlier in the year, you certainly have raised your game with your last posts and i can honestly say you deserve all the credit that the peeps around here have heaped on yourself i know the effort you put in to get to the top of those hills you frequent

Nearly missed this one Cameron,been away up north for the last 2 days (nice weather) and hadn`t checked the forum.
I must say i`m quite surprised you managed to get such a clear shot in such a bad day.

The weather was rain and more rain that day with the occasional break in the cloud that afforded the above shot.
It makes for nice photography but not nice walking.
Can't have everything.
