Tenba warranty

I bought a Tenba insert to use in a messenger bag (inspired by the Stealth bag thread) and one of the seams has ripped with less than a year of use.

Anyone with experience claiming warranty on a Tenba item? Looks like they are covered for 5 years generally speaking.

Joel, suggest you need to take your receipt back to Vistek.
I bought 2 Tenba bags from Vistek. When I showed up at the same store 3 weeks later with a strap with ripped seams, I got a shrug. I still have the bag, and used it for a couple of years with the damaged strap.
I didn't have the receipt with me.
I've had excellent customer service from LowePro (Daymen), and Think Tank. No receipts necessary. I haven't bought any more bags from Tenba/Vistek. YMMV.

I think I have my receipt kicking around somewhere so I will head back to Vistek if nothing happens with Tenba.

My Tenba Messenger is a great....briefcase. I bought a better Tenba insert from Vistek. Glad they carried it.
I have bought lots from Vistek. This is the only warranty claim I have tried to make. I was disappointed.

I had a warrenty claim on a Tenba bag several years ago after the zipper pulled loose. As I remember, they didn't answer my email, but once I contacted them by telephone, they were very gracious and repaired it without charge to me.

The OP and I get to deal through Vistek in Canada. Tenba bags have great features. I won't buy another through Vistek.

Well I sent a photo of the tear to Tenba and they shipped out a new insert, got it today via UPS!

They didn't even ask me for proof of purchase, but I scanned my Vistek invoice and emailed it to them along with my address anyway.

Quality in a company shows in how they resolve a problem. My issues isn't with Tenba, but the retailer. The gatekeeper.

I hear you Dave, I had an issue with a product I purchased from Future Shop and got nothing but grief after the fact trying to deal with them.
