Help me choose! Helicopter picking up water

when I shot this, I imagined it being in black and white. I'm not fond of the color version, the colors don't pop and the mist and smoke really gave it a dull effect. The black and white makes that mist pop which I love. Here is a color version for you to see, but I don't think I'd use it, seems to make it less powerful

Not a huge B&W fan, although i'm liking it more than i used to, but this definitely works better in B&W.

No 2 is definently the best... the other is a picture of a helicopter. No 2 is a landscape, has a depth becouse of the background and landscape. You also see the more of the wather being spread in the landscape. That is a picture to frame, the other is pictures of a helicopter.

I like that opinion, Kent. Thanks so much everyone, you've given me a lot to think about. I'll post some revisions here after I finish them

I think Kent nailed it - the composition in #2 works the best. But, I'd like to see it in color. Classic color theory says that warm colors come forward and cool colors back, so maybe color would give #2 even more depth? Just a thought.
