... this was my first same sex wedding. It was a blast. Great couple and a fun afternoon.

I think it's a very nice moment.. A few issues though. The flash makes it look flat, in this lighting I am not sure it was required. A wider aperture would give it a less snapshotty feel as well. Also, your vignette is very heavy.

I am super cool n' stuff.

"issues" interesting word choice.

I think this was probably 5.6 or 4 on a 24-105. Off Camera flash through Umbrella on camera fill. My settings default to 1:2 ratio. Without flash it would have been really flat lighting. I also process in Lightroom 4 to extend dynamic range then add contrast as needed. This one has neg clarity which does have a flattening affect. Yes the vignette is heavy.

Thanks for your observations. Its the various perceptions that help improve technique; shooting and processing. This one of a group that I quickly rated and then processes. I plan to go back through them. Your suggestions will give me another perspective to add.

i would definitely ditch the vignetting. to me, it looks like the focus is on the wall and not the subjects. maybe it's just the compression though.

The focus is off, the vignetting doesn't help and the image need some contrast :P
