Hi, guys,

Innovatronix using pure sine wave inverter, DIY using Samlex pure sine wave inverter,
Vagabond using pure sine wave inverter from Samlex, etc

I am thinking of using APC UPS, SUA series with pure sine wave,
is it possible ?

do you think SUA1000i big enough to power Profoto D1 250 in half power ?
let's say about 500 shots ?

I don't think I can bring a generator on the golf course, that's why I am thinking
about UPS with pure sine wave,
I can not get Vagabond or Innovatronix easily in here, it takes a month for delivery,
not to mentioned about custom, etc

If you can get your hands on a Kill A Watt Meter (external link) it would help. Knowing the draw will tell you everything.

Biggest issue with a UPS is they have that annoying beeper. If you are handy with a screwdriver rip that thing out and while you are at it connect a plug so you can connect it to a car battery. Most UPS units use a 12v SLA battery. Connecting it to a common marine battery should let you run all day.

I already did,
Remove the beeper and make a new connections external to a pair of car battery,
haven't tried it yet and we're making a new case for transporting the whole system,
UPS, 2x car battery and MCB for safety fuse of the battery

something annoying me about the current draw,
Vagabond Mini Lithium said it's output on 150W or something,
they said they could combine several strobes on VML or using bigger power
with the cost of recycle time, so, what I am using with 670W it's big enough to power
2x 500Ws strobe then ?

A light can't pull more amps than the inverter can provide. The bigger the inverter the faster the recycle time will be. At least up to what the strobe can do. Bigger pipe, more flow.

I use one of these Morningstar Inverters at Home (external link). It powers my networking hardware and phone system. VERY efficient and minimal standby draw. I've run White Lightnings off it but did notice a slow down in recycle time when I had 4 of the 1600's plugged in.

I see,
so it's ideal for bigger strobes then, thanks for the info
