Of course the Tair lenses are not sharp wide open, few lenses are. You do not buy such an old lens for sharpness.

If you want a great Vivitar 135, you want the Cult Classic 135/2.8 Close Focus model. Only lens I ever had, sold, missed so much I bought another copy. Gene

That's what this one is. I was lucky enough to obtain all of the gear and studio equipment from the estate of a photographer. I am still working my way through the various lenses.

This is a sample of a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4. Please understand that I am just learning how to use this lens, so there is nothing fancy about my photo. I just received a FotoDiox lens mount adapter, "Nikon to Canon EOS V.2 w/ AF Chip," purchased from Amazon. The price was around $29.00. I sort of followed the instructions on how to program the chip, but I am not certain if I did things right.

Anyway, took a few photos of my wife to try the lens and adapter, and so far I am very pleased with the results. I snapped this photo as we were sitting at the table. Cropped the image to take out unwanted "kitchen appliances," and then ran a NIK plugin to blur the background. That's all there was to it.

What I like about this lens is the accurate skin colors it renders.

Looks like you are off to a good start. which Nikon 50/1.4? There are so many. IMO, the best is the 50/1.4 SC or at least the one I kept after trying all the others out. Gene

Nikon Ai-S. I bought it new with a Nikon F3 in 1982.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
