OK, it's finally being shipped

It looks like they picked it up in store, notice the receipt in the first picture. Also in the corner you can see a price tag that looks like best buys.

Yep I got it shipped to the store. Its always faster.

I had a *very* brief play with one in Jessops the other day - I joked about them having stock, but they said "oh yeah we got one in today..."

The first impression is that it's extremely light... I had the 5d3 and 24-70 with me so I put the 24-70 on the 6d and it was very front heavy. Granted there was no grip attached, but that was my immediate reaction. I also only had a CF with me so couldn't take any images home from it... I'll be interested to see some of the real-world reviews that will evidently crop up in the coming weeks

DigitalRev got their hands on it..

Kai notes a bunch of the things I suspected, the buttons are more 60D and the rear joypad thing is kinda awkward

Also his conclusion is in line with my thoughts as well

Me? My mind was made up, The D600 and the 6D are not for me really, I determined that by looking at them, To gain in a couple areas over my 7D I'm sacrificing other things and I'm just not convinced the sacrifice is worth it for my usage

The 5DIII seems to be the better fit for me, The D600 is lovely and all but i just cant justify switching systems for it, I broke it down in a post but really what do I gain from moving to Nikon beyond the D600.. and the answer was.. Well not that much I guess... I have to keep in mind the complete system after all, and lenses like my 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro have no equal in Nikon (The 105 VR's VR doesnt work at macro distances)

Ordered mine. Hopefully it will arrive before this week-end as I got some nice traditionnal sweet potatoes cooking event where a lot of old dudes make big big fires and cook tons of potaotes!! Ordered the Sigma 35mm f1.4 at the same time. If I can sell my t3i and my 15-85, I might be able to get the 135L too.

what we really need is magic lantern ported to the 6d; then it will be in contention (and i'll consider it)
