advice on compact

I have a G9 to take on holidays which I am very happy with but I would like a smaller more discrete camera that will go in my pocket. I have narrowed my choice to Ixus 125HS or Powershot A4000 - any opinions on which is best ?

If you like your G9 and use the manual settings and want high IQ then look at the S100 both have a 1/1.7 sensor and the S100 is also great in low light.

In my opinion, there's no question - IXUS 125 hands down.
True, the A4000 has a larger zoom than the IXUS 125,
but the IXUS 125 has a wider 24mm lens and a CMOS sensor,
which means not only better support of low light conditions,
but also 1080p video. In this case, with enabled optical zoom.
