If you bought it through amazon warehouse then sigma will most likely not honor the warranty, usually that's the case with all manufacturers, however amazon offers a warranty through squaretrade. From what I've heard, the squaretrade warranty is a nice one. | Bodies - 5D Mark II, T2i | Lenses - Helios 44-2, Sigma 35mm 1.4, Sigma 85 1.4, Sigma 70-200 2.8 OS, Tamron SP AF 1.4x TC | Lights - 430ex ii x2, Random 3rd party strobes

Feb 16, 2013 05:48 | #2531 What's wrong with your Sigma needing a little MFA? Or do you mean the third shot you posted is using the same amount of MFA as the second shot?

First photo was a quick shot of a back of a computer monitor, second shot was with some micro focusing adjustment. No editing was done except both images were cropped. Sorry, forgot to add details, both shot at f1.4, 1/200sec, 200 iso. I've never played around with MFA before but this had gotten me worried with the existing lenses that I have (15-85mm, 35mm Samyang etc). Could it be a problem with the camera or is it the lens itself? What camera are you shooting with? Have you tried MFA on this lens? On the 7d (probably all canons) you can MA by lens or the camera itself. The camera will know what lens you have on and use the appropriate MA setting.
On a little bit of a side tangent, I have have never owned a lens this fast, so being able to shoot at f/1.4 and have reliable images as sharp as this lens produces really opens up your creativity. I am able to take and make shots that I thought only more expensive camera bodies could produce. I now believe good glass is the most important key to digital photography. Now that mine is dialed in, I see no reason to ever take it off my camera!

gabricon Mostly Lurking 11 posts Joined Sep 2012 More info | I did some side by side test shots with the 35L and S35. Now I have to decide which one to keep. The first impressions on the S35 is that it is sharper than the Canon and has less CA (at least from my test shots). 5D3, Samyang 14mm 2.8, Ʃ 35mm 1.4, 135L
