I can't wait for it to come out and see what it is going to do to see if I will go with this or a 35L. Some softness issues that I have found with my 30mm 1.4 I am wanting an upgrade.

You should also consider the resale value, L glass holds it value better than Sigma lenses.

That's true.
But then again, if the new Sig 35 turns out to be as good as the sig 85, maybe you'll soon see the L's price sinking:)

And if it's as good as it looks like it might be, there'd be no reason to go selling it any time soon

It's not like the newer Sigma primes lose all that much value anyways, they're about the same loss as many L-primes (think, 135L-1089 new, $800 used, 50L-$1619 new $1200 used, 35L-$1475 new, $1100 used) ...The 85 in particular holds it's value pretty well in comparison...Even the EX 50/1.4's which are $499 new fetch $425 used.
So, to me, the resale value argument doesn't really hold water.

No idea if this site is any more trustworthy than the one somebody posted a while back, but if you add it to the cart then it's listed as £800..

As I say, I've never used the site before and it looks like they get very mixed reviews so I wouldn't necessarily take it at face value..

lol. That looks like one of those fake photography store scam sites,

All they are missing is a picture of a pretty woman with a telephone headset on for customer service,

But didn't you see, it says "good service awards, 2013". Perhaps that is when you will receive your camera. ;)

To be fair, it does say 'we would love it if you voted for Park Cameras!' underneath. Apparently they've won the award in 2009, 2010, twice in 2011 and again in 2012 although from some of the reviews I find that hard to believe.

They are a legitimate shop though and they have a high street store from what I've heard. Established in the early 70's..

Well they're a British shop with a respectable name. I would tend to believe what they say.

Well, you can order it and tell me if it arrives or if a Canon 35 f/2.0 arrives at your doorstep in 4 weeks.

;)

Besides, I was under the impression that this lens isn't even released yet? Only "announced"?

Ummm Park Cameras is a legit shop in the UK. However, I have idea why they list it as available within 5-7 days.
