I'm about to place the order, getting impatient haha..

So should I only order from B&H or does Adorama have it in stock now ? I want whoever has it right now and will for sure ship it in the next hour. lol

I had both my accounts logged into on Adorama and B&H; after I read idsurfer's comment, I just hit buy now and next day delivery on Adorama. It's still quite a saving even if I got next day air! LOL

Now to play...the waiting game. LOL

This is seriously a lens that can be shot WO without really worrying too much about it. It is dang sharp!! Glad to see there will be a good handful more folks adding to the sample thread. :D

I have a Sigma 24mm F1.8. With that lens, for anything nearby I always shoot at 1.8--that's the only time you really get a special "look" from the lens, IMO. However, with this 50 I find I get wonderful "pop and blur" effects even stopped down a ways.

I know! with the amazing minimum focus distance of the Sigma primes, it is something very unique in the photography landscape. I was very tempted with the 20mm f1.8 however soft.

The 35mm however is sadly not like this.

Great pictures.
Yeah, the macro function of the Sigma 1.8s can be a blast. But, you can't have everything. They are nowhere near as sharp as this baby, and have pretty dated AF.

Still if you can get one used for under 300$... they can do stuff no other lenses can.

I wonder how will look a 35 with an extension ring?!

EDIT: not bad at all:
