Got mine!

Is it me or the pouch is too slack for the lens?! The older pouches for EX lenses were exactly the good size. Also the box is cheaper made. Not that it matter much...

Just tried it on my t3i (waiting the 6D battery to charge). It's nice. Focus smoothly. Nice DoF even on crop. Rather heavy and feel a bit scratchable. You feel you need to be careful with it, not like a tamron lens or an older EX lens.

Canon 6D | S35mm f1.4 | 135mm f2 The rest: T3i, 20D, 15mm f2.8, 15-85mm, 24mm f2.8, 50mm f1.8, 85mm f1.8, 90mm f2.8 macro, 55-250mm.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Great pictures.
Yeah, the macro function of the Sigma 1.8s can be a blast. But, you can't have everything. They are nowhere near as sharp as this baby, and have pretty dated AF.

The bokeh can be pretty harsh sometimes, i think you showed an example of it if i remember right

Well...it's a different kind of bokeh, that's for sure. Personally, I like it, though most would find it less attractive than more expensive glass. I recently bought the Canon 24 F1.4 II, which is certainly a great lens, and planned to sell the Sigma. However, I may let the Canon go instead. The Siggy's a scrappy little bugger--does semi-macro, and just has a "look" I like a lot. Plus it's 1/3 the price:D

Pictures speak louder than words. Look at this and I think you will see what you'll see what I mean: http://www.flickr.com …148901349/in/photostream/ (external link)

Yeah you have some great shots with it ;)

Not quite the look i want unfortunately, the bokeh isnt what im looking for (Reminds me of the 35mm f/2) The psuedo macro stuff is awesome though..

The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 looks to be the lens i wanted in the first place.. a Sigmalux, just shorter

Hehe yeah! But I had to note it because it's seems almost illogical. You would notice too if you had it in hand.

The lens is great. I only took under 30 shots around the house but it's bokehlicious! Very solid stuff. Cant wait to go downtown to try it.

You are not going to convince Kenji. He is a very indecisive person. One moment he wants something and then the next he will find something to talk himself out of it. Rinse and repeat ;)

He's smarter than me. I just buy the stuff and then realize I didn't need it:rolleyes:

Okay some bad and good news. Bad news is that Adorama will not have any of theirs in stock til 12/20/12 (that's what Sigma told them) so I canceled my order with them. Good news, I just ordered through B&H and hopefully happens, if everything goes according to plan it'll be in my hands tomorrow evening..LOL ..

I picked mine up in person from BH on November 28th. They only had 2 in stock at that moment even though online it said to preorder :D
