If there is one thing none of us will argue over, it is that this lens looks spectacular. Brushed aluminum, glass and rubber all blend together gorgeously. The attention to detail on this lens is downright absurd. It is painstakingly built from the mount to the front element. Simple things like the look and function of the lens cap or the feel of the focusing ring… things that we don’t even think or have put no emphasis on about have been brought to a different level. For example, the lens hood snaps on with a satisfyingly terse and rugged click. That’s the only way I can describe it in words, but I can promise that the way the hood snaps onto the front of this lens compared to the way other lenses do it would be similar to comparing sitting in a stadium chair at a little league game against relaxing in a truly comfortable leather couch in a mahogany scented library. Everything about this lens feels like that, making for a grand experience. -Omar- Flickr

I was noting to my friend Al (Mookalafalas) that, while everyone here is obsessing about the 'lemon shaped' 'onion' bokeh, others are using this same photographic language to go to million dollar premieres and photographing million dollar actors! I was noting to my friend Al (Mookalafalas) that, while everyone here is obsessing about the 'lemon shaped' 'onion' bokeh, others are using this same photographic language to go to million dollar premieres and photographing million dollar actors! Take a look a Reuters picture of Hugh Jackman in the second picture of this link: http://www.bbc.co.uk …tertainment-arts-20592504 Lemon shaped and onion bokeh, for certain! It was good enough for Reuters to go to Les Mis premiere and photograph Jackman in a picture that will circle the globe! Perhaps its enough for most of us amateurs and semi-pro fellows? (I´m not saying they used this lens, but it does feature the same characteristics as what is being discussed here!) I'm certainly sold on this lens as the first Sigma that has caught my full attention! (I cannot say the same for the sigmalux, unfortunately! ). I now have to get the money for it, hope it does not raise price like the 30mm did, almost doubling its price after a few months out.Keep the pictures coming (here and int the lens sample thread!), I'm enjoying each and everyone of them .Best regards, Rafa. Excellente Rafa! Este lens te vas gustar muchisimo el dia que lo logres a conseguir -Omar- Flickr
