Pied Billed Grebes

I'm not sure how common or uncommon these little fellows are locally, but I usually see one, maybe two, a year in my wanderings. This weekend I came across five juveniles, two on a creek outside of town and three along a local jogging path. Must have been a good year for the moms and pops!

I don't think that they are uncommon, they usually just dive and swim away, at least everytime I have seen one. Great shots, all of them, Well done Mike.
