Encapsulating/Laminating photos

I have a great big 24x72 inch photo I've printed... and I neglected to plan a frame when I printed it. (!)

How much do you think it would cost for me to have it laminated? I've emailed a couple places, but no responses so far.

Check with a local sign shop. They will MUCH less expensive than ANY frame shop and much better equipped to deal with something that big.

I have a 24x96 pano printed and a local sign shop mounted it on foamcore for $120. They could have laminated it but I prefer it the way it is.

A sign shop can do this? Great idea. I've gotten a few quotes in... something like 70-100 depending on options.

By the way.. I'm also exploring another idea.. buying a canvas frame myself and 'ModgePodging' the photo to it. My tests so far seem to work, but it ends up being super textural.. not exactly a transparent way to mount.

The sign shop I deal with can even print images on weatherproof material too. Although not at the quality that I prefer. For big stuff I stick with the sign shops...
