Is that still the case? I have hotspot on my VZ ipad but i believe you would have to pay for mobile hotspot on ATT. Not sure. Everyone i know who owns a VZW Android phone cant do voice/data at the same time. -Omar- Flickr

It's something with the iPhone model itself, becuase it won't work on sprint either (they run the same model iPhone). I guess the issue is that the iPhone 5 uses the same antenna to connect to the LTE and CDMA networks, and as a result it can't be on both at the same time, so when you are on the phone it defaults to CDMA so you can't surf on LTE.

You can talk over the network and surf on wifi at the same time though. Yup although the dual talk and data is great when on the go and not near a wifi spot. -Omar- Flickr

I hardly ever talk on the phone, so it's never been an issue for me. jdizzle wrote in post #15074653 I get 24%. At AT&T? Yeah I mean it varies a lot, and each company has different levels, we're a smaller company so it's not as much.

The dumb thing is it's a lot less than it used to be with the shared data plans. You only get the discount on the base plans, and not all the access fees which make up most of the cost. Yes, AT&T. If I were to move to Verizon, I would lose my unlimited data plan and pay more.

But that said... I'll enjoy my faster network speeds and more LTE coverage on verizon. ![]() I would switch if Verizon's service in my neighborhood didn't suck!
