Sony's influence on the MFT sensor market is glaringly obvious.

Amazing. Too bad sony cant make a great DSLR setup. Zeiss sony glass plus those sensors in a DSLR = WIN.

HP/Compaq is horrible.. im bout to give up

I gave up on them in 2002

I was about to say I could have told him that 10 years ago. Only stuff of HP's I'll buy now is their laser printers. Fortunately, that doesn't happen very often, since they just last.

Honestly, I hate manfrotto's stuff; the stuff that I have seen in person is incredibly flimsy.
(Especially the heads, the legs might not be too bad.) I've seen them at Best Buy, and what I've seen in pictures looks the same. The heads that I've seen are all plastic....

Stop shopping for tripods at Best Buy then. My old 3444D (2003 vintage) is solid. Not as solid as the Gitzo 3541, but plenty for up to body and 100-400 and can handle the 300 2.8 in a pinch. And their 393 gimbal is one of the finest around, if it only took A-S plates.

At the airshow the 7D was my main camera with the 100-400 because of faster continous shooting and happy with the images captured.
