New york is slowly getting back to "normal" so i would say it has improved over the previous week. At least in terms of transportation. Not sure if you saw totoy but i have a D600, 35 1.4g, and an 85 1.4g on order

Not so much hear. It is rare that i hear about a suicide especially in the rails.

Yeah about the suicide... Yesterday we had a midterm test in Nihongo and one of my classmate almost got late coz there was somebody who jumped on the rail tracks.

I sometimes picture myself infront of a very crowded station and somebody would push me into the track while the train is coming  scary thought

They're alright for a beginner lol. I hated mine for the fact that the ballhead wasn't as sturdy and I HAAAATED the center column. Now this bad boy Serves me well <3

i thought i needed and wanted the center for shorter when puting it in the lugage but using it really is a big hassle :|

that why when im done hoarding gears ill settle with a centerless one.

I love shooting without a center column. It's much more stable. :)

I was about to say I could have told him that 10 years ago. Only stuff of HP's I'll buy now is their laser printers. Fortunately, that doesn't happen very often, since they just last.

Stop shopping for tripods at Best Buy then. My old 3444D (2003 vintage) is solid. Not as solid as the Gitzo 3541, but plenty for up to body and 100-400 and can handle the 300 2.8 in a pinch. And their 393 gimbal is one of the finest around, if it only took A-S plates.

wish my friends would listen :P

i have never bought any brand name desktop in my life.
