So I think I've decided on a 5D2, Sigma 50 1.4 and sigma 85 1.4.

I bet the 85 gets refreshed next year. Look how long the 2nd gen 120-300 was out before it was refreshed.

P65+ backs are nice so there's no questioning why they wouldn't :p I have seen them for around 18k from time to time.

Don't forget the P45+ which goes for around 10-12k :p

Hehe! Go big or go home, right? ;)

Hassy H2- $3K
P65+ back $18-20k
Hassy HCD 24mm or HCD 28mm

Unfortunately if you want to use the P65+ or any 3rd party back with a HCD lens you need to upgrade the body to a H4x. The widest lens you can have is a 35mm on a H2. That is already equivalent to around 24mm on a 35mm camera.

On the other hand you can most likely get a used H4d-60 for around 23 which works with all the H lenses :p

Sheesh! So complicated! I might as well make it easy on myself and get a H4 or H5 series body. :p

Pretty simple actually! It's just like EF and EFS lenses!

HC = EF - works on all cameras in system
HCD = EF-S - Works with the crop cameras (44x33 chips) and the full frame chips with some vignetting on H3d and newer (H4d and H5d) cameras

Nice, Rick.

Looks clearly like a coal fired power station rather than a factory. Just saying ;)

The conveyor belt on the right was the give away, as were the boilers and stacks...

Well It was still quite ominous ;p

Also not that many coal power plants around LA that I've seen

What'll we name the next one? 'Julian's Hasselblad Addiction Begins?'

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

not as much, just couldn't really see more than the smokestacks in the distance when I was taking the shot and wasn't so sure of what it was in the first place

I see. Maybe going the H5D 40 route is all I need. :)

Well, I want to maximize the use of the lenses but, if it comes down to choice in the end I may go for the H5D 40. :)
