Beautiful Jeff. Best thing about HDR is there is no right way to do it.

Very nice. As N3QW has said, there is no wrong way. It's in the eye of the photographer. Some like a natural look and others like a more "artist" look.

I sometimes have trouble with clouds. If they move between your bracketed exposures, you can see some weird artifacts. I don't see these in your pic although sometimes you have to zoom in to see them.

Thanks, I think I like the natural look more than the "Wow Factor" of the real saturated ones, but I have seen some of those that were really cool.

It always helps if you have a great compo to start with; as you do here .. I like it!!

I have been trying to tone down my processing because I was going over the top with almost every attempt; I think I was getting caught up in making every capture as dramatic as possible. The fact that I don't have a whole lot of time to give to my hobby is partly to blame for that; I guess I wanted to make a presentation of every capture :)

There's a little genie inside of me right now screaming, "Oh you can make that image so, so, much better!! Lemme process it for you some more!!!" :)

Its a great frame, and the processing is very nice; congrats!

BTW, I hope you slapped on an ND and tried a long exposure too, because that location was begging for it!

I had it in my bag, but ran out of time before I used it. But the good news is that this place is only about 15 minutes from my house. I'll be back and give it a go with my Singh-Ray vari ND on my 24-105L.

Thanks for the complements & suggestions!

Jeff

I would call it a success! beautiful shot :)

I gotta give photomatix a try!
I tried luminance and Piturenaut last night but was having trouble with both, I just ended up using Photoshop.

Thanks!

I found you have to pull all the settings back and make yourself keep it real, I also have that little voice that wants me to add just a little more! It's hard not to.
