sharp or sharpish?

i got a steal on a canon 30d & 70-200mm 2.8 non IS L lens and this was a test shot at 2.8 and was wondering if you'd call that sharp or not? here are two pictures both SOOC first is the original and the second is the heavy crop.

these were shot using a 7D from a tripod EXIF

aperture f/2.8
shutter 0.4 second
ISO 200
200mm

im hoping someone has an opinion or an idea just curious i mean its not a huge deal but i just thought it would be worth posting to see what others thought

Thanks ICKMCDON i hope to post up some comparison shots with the siggy 2.8 os tomorrow so we can see how they both fair at 2.8

It looks pretty sharp to me, also as you know 200mm @ F2.8 is the "softest" point of this lens


5D2, 24-70L F2.8, Sigma 85 F1.4, Sigma 50 F1.4, 70-200L F4 IS, 100-400 F4.5-5.6 II, 430EX II X 2, A few Pocketwizards

looks like i got a winner then and thanks for pointing that out eyalha! i didnt know that as honestly i havent studied any of these lenses in the canon line of 70-200's i bought the siggy and moved on with it but i came across this and it was a fair price and picked it up with a 30d, im glad i didnt pass on it
