crossing my fingers that:
a) The DH Mosquito KA114 flies on Saturday at Ardmore
b) The weather is anything resembling good (I'd go if it were raining & she were flying, but it would be nicer for some photo's)
c) I don't get called out to work

This is a wooden aircraft fighter-bomber that has no flying examples right now. This one was found in a farmer's barn, having been bought in 1948 as war surplus. My father worked on Mosquitoes in Europe in WWII (he was a mechanic/technician) and came back with some incredible stories. I have a photo of him and his entire squadron (410 Cougar Squadron RCAF) posed in front of a Mosquito. IAN - Living life on the shores of the Wallace River in northern Nova Scotia, Canada :

The "Mossie" was one of my favorites & we don't get to see them because the glue just didn't last very long. I had an uncle Iain Murray came from Aberdeen in Scotland... Originally? Well, somewhere in Scotland (no idea where) but we're going back to the 1700's when we talk about that. My family arrived in Canada on the ship Hector, in 1753 which hit landfall in Pictou, Nova Scotia, and all my father's family is still in the Pictou-Stellarton-New Glasgow area of Nova Scotia.
