Used my wide angle on the G6 for the first time
Family Xmas pictures indicate I need a flash for indoor pictures
When the room lighting is good and no flash is required , the pics are good
When in low light and the flash fires , I get a darkenned semi-circle caused by the outer rim of the wide angle lens.
Whats everybody using for a flash ?
Looking at some websites and they state the 420EX is discontinnued and the replacement is the 430EX
What do you think of the 430EX
Pros and Cons ?
Alternatives ?
I'd like to stay with the Canon brand if at all possible
And who has the best price
Thanks in advance
Mach

How many boards are you going to post on?

The 420ex works great. I'm sure the 430ex will also. The G6 may not be able to use all the features but it will take very good picutres.

To Left Turn 99
I've posted this question on 2 BB's
Is there anything wrong with that ?
Have I violated some policy ??
I'm looking for advice and suggestions and i'm trying to cover as many people that are in the know that I can
I don't go to one car dealership when I want to buy a car nor do I limit myself to only asking one persons opinion when I have something I need to know
In closing, thanks for your reply on what you use
Thats what i'm after
Having a nice day
Mach

We are pretty good here on answering, you could do it only in one board in the future ))

In general, you cannon use build flash with Canon adapter. This is a first thing you have to buy after adapter and ANY convertor.

Cheers

The 430EX should be able to go wide enough to cover the angle of view with the WA converter attachment. It *should* automatically zoom wide enough to do so, if not you can manually zoom the flash head.
