Actually, I might jump on a 5Dc if I found one with a low shutter cound and in good shape. I just dont want to shoot it for 500 shots then have it go out in the middle of a shoot. So the added cost is actually good for business.

CLICK reactionary have made my photos/results much more enjoyable to me. I believe you've summed me up there as well. I was taught old school with composition and "making" the photo before ever clicking the shutter mainly because sheet film wasn't cheap. I have a 60D for "spray and pray." Heck I will still use a light meter quite often instead of chimping. ~Steve~

I would really recommend trying anything from Samyang/Rokinon, as well as possibly some vintage glass. I was in your same boat and immediately sold my 40D because I realized it would hardly ever get used again. Sony A6000 | 18-55 | 16-50 | 50 f1.8

Is buying a 5Dc pointless now since the announcement of the 6D and it's approximate price tag of $2000? I've been looking hard at 5Dc's but now I'm not too sure. if you could get a 5Dc cheap, realize the limitations and hope it doesn't require repairs in the near future then it would not be pointless

Sep 18, 2012 18:38 | #22 Well i have a 5D and apart from complaining that it is big and bulky i can't say a bad thing about IQ. Wonderful simply wonderful, i am actually curious, as it seems to be better (colour wise and overall) than my previously owned 7D...

Depending on what you get, 2 good lenses could cost you $1-2K. Getting a 5D classic might give you the wiggle room to buy those lenses. I would dare say that you won't be able to tell differences between photos taken on the 6D at ISOs 1600 and lower to that of the 5Dc. Shoot middle point with expansion, and that AF is capable for many things including several aspects of sports and competitions. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

So assuming you need a lens or two to go with your shiny new (or used) FF camera, you could pick up a 5D and a 35L for the price of a 6D. Given the choice I know which one I'd pick! ycp wrote in post #15011506 I look at the pictures taken with 5D and still surprised by the quality. I'm still a beginner but I enjoy taking pictures and have heard the IQ on FF beats crop all the time. I was thinking of getting a 5dc to compare the image quality between the 2 cameras and keeping the winner. My lenses are the 40mm, 100mm 2.8 and 28-135mm. Would those lenses work well with the 5dc?
