I will tell you this even though I have 8 frames per second a lot of times I only need to shoot one shot. I use it for weddings and events as well. the 1DmKII is better in low light but for some reason when I have to use flash my 420 EX works better on it than my 550EX and the 550 works better on the 20D.

Both cameras are great and originally I thought the question was what is the best set up for shooting sports and not what can I afford and shoot sports that is why I was so addiment about the 1D body. In all honesty if the 20D did what the 1D does I's use it every time because running up and down a basketball court or a soccer sideline with 2 around my neck with L lenses can wear you out.

Every camera has it pros and cons we just do ur best to get the best shot
