The Canon EOS 5D Mark III is the world's best digital SLR. It easily lets us create smooth, clean, beautiful and colorful images in any sort of light. It handles much better my cheaper Nikon D800 and D800E; my 5D Mark III handles and sounds smoother, quieter, feels better and makes better-looking images than my Nikon D800E.

The 6D is a smaller, lighter version of the world's best DSLR, the 5D Mark III. If money or weight matters, the 6D is better; the pictures will be the same from each of them.

Perhaps this has been posted before, I don't know, since I tire quickly of the "let's roast the newly-released Canon DSLR and praise the newly-released Nikon DSLR" threads. But, I found it by looking for actual reviews of the 6D, and found it interesting, given KR's reputation.

Interesting given his release time enthusiasm over the D600

the 6D is not the smaller version of the 5D3...
not the same sensor, not the same AF, not the same back layout

it's a full frame body, with an EF mount... not many similarities left between it and the 5D3...

Thanks for feeding his growing family... ;)

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

This is the exact equation:

60D + 2MP + FF - [APS-C] + GPS + [Wi-Fi] -3EV = 6D

I believe your math is flawed. You forgot to -flippy floppy screen

Also forgot to subtract cross-type AF points.

I guess we can all come together and with the massive intellect of this forum we can work out a unifying equation. I hope it doesn't require any string theory...

KR also hates megapixels, Probubly because his chosen child of a computer cant handle it... Or because you're supposed to lug around a large format cam and do REAL photography... God knows with him

Though that said KR did praise the absolute crap out of the EOS 3 because of its AF system, Sentiments I.... eugh.... its painful to admit... agree with... and the 5D Mark III is basically a digital EOS 3

As said, he does whatever gets him more hits, He's a clown with inconsistent opinions, Nothing more, Nothing less

As for a 6D equation:

60D - APS-C + FF + 2mp - 9 cross-type AF Points + 8 Horizontal-sensitive AF points + 2 vertical-sensitive AF points + 1 cross-type highly sensitive AF point - 2 fps - tilty screen + 3" 1040k screen + magnesium body = 6D

Hey buddy, that's not an equation.
That's a sentence! :D

This! He's a troglodyte.
He contradicts himself endlessly...thinks he's "cool". Does he forget his favorite saying.."the camera doesn't matter.. it just get's between you and the picture"?
