What the? Has someone managed to upload a subsite on his domain? Or is KR's sense of humour that twisted?

I find Ken knows an awful lot about a camera he hasn't actually used.... He's amazing!

I would ask MikeWa, as there's a fair chance he's a KR sock.

Yup. Exactly. Yesterday, on his site, I read that 6D was the best DSLR. Then, his exifs for photos taken with 6D were all taken with 5D3. Just because he wanted to rush his website doesn't mean he should post false info.

Well..in the film industry (that he's always bragging about), that would be called a trailer. ;)

Yeah, I admit I did have to check out the two pages of bizarre content.

As to KR's overall credibility, he does say some rather outrageous things and does have a way with words in causing various reactions, HOWEVER, he does also have some very outstanding advice, if you can shift the wheat from the chaff. His article on using UWA lenses (external link), for example, is excellent.

When I was originally in the market for my camera, I did read some of his reviews, and he seemed to be a pretty dead-set Noink in the DSLR world, so his unabashed comments about the 5DIII and 6D surprised me.

If everyone sends him $100.00 he will do a excellant review on the old Brownie Hawkeye ( no pixels, no focus points, no interchangeable lenses, no memory cards, etc. I can hardly wait to read it!!!!!!!!!

personally, i enjoy his review, and enjoy his commentary on the specs not mattering. I find myself pixel peeping and spec checking all the time, and i dont spend nearly enough time shooting and printing. its refreshing to read stuff that tells you to quit doing that and just go take pictures...and he explains quirks and annoyances in UI pretty well. there are a million different objective review sites to read if thats all you want... I like the subjective ones.

My Ken Rockwell "haha WTF this moron has no idea what he's talking about" moment was when adovcated that everyone shoot JPEG for everything and how much RAW sucks and you should never use it (external link).

Don't worry, one day you will have your own moment when you realize the man is full of horseapples.
