Is there something that Im missing here? I can't seem to find an option to record 24fps in 720p. I can do 60fps in 720, and I can do 24fps in 1080p but I dont see the option for 24fps in 720p. Do I just have to record all of my 24fps footage in 1080 and waste the space, then downsize after uploading to my 'puter?

No can do. That was a early discovery when the specs first came out and the 56DIII was compared to the Nikon D7000, which came out sometime in 2010. The Nikon can do 1280 x 720 @ 24 fps and as you've discovered the Canon can't. Not sure why this wasn't included. Perhaps something for a future firmware release.

Brian, I think the OP was just thinking he might have been overlooking something. After all, I do believe the Powershot G12 does 1,280 x 720p, 24fps recording. One would think they could get it into the 5DIII froom the start gate.

And the point of your comment is?
Im sooooo sorry I was correct in my assumption that I could not shoot 24fps in 720p. Is there something wrong with looking for clarification? It's not that serious for you to make such an immature rude remark,

And again, appreciate it John.
