This year we had a lovely, white Christmas. Christmas Day night it started to snow again. This picture was taken with 10-22, 20s, f/22, using strong flash light to 'paint' the trees around the cabin. Luckily, that light showed also the traces of falling snow as an extra bonus.

(The same cabing in different light is also here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=121869)

- olli

[Edit: I did not use flash but torch.]

Beautiful, Olli. Looks cold and cozy at the same time.

Thanks all! In the original post is mistakenly mentioned that I used flash, but that was actually a strong halogen torch with which I wiped over the trees, that's why I called it 'painting' ;) .

Thanks Dimitri, this time I shot raw, so I could minimize highlight contrast and make small lamps more visible.

Greetings,
That is a beautiful 'painting'. May be cropping out the bottom right handrail or burn it slightly as I feel that it is intruding into the scene. Otherwise a perfect 'painting'. Enjoy...

Thanks George, I did not like that corner myself either. I was considering to clone it away, but your edit works also well.
