1D2N for weddings?

I shoot with a gripped 10D and it is quickly dying. i'm looking for a good replacement and shoot events/weddings (second shooter for now). I also do video work, but most of the time its with people who have an HDSLR already and my production crew is getting a black magic. I have been saving up for a 5d2, but a 1d2N just came up for sale locally with 88k clicks for $500, which i could afford right now and keep saving for a 7D to satisfy my video needs.

also, all the reviews i have read of the 1d2/1d2N are from when it first came out, and obviously none of them talk about it's ISO sensitivity compared to what we consider good now. would the 1d2N be a good option for low-light churches and such?

essentially, what i'm asking is should i pick up the 1d2N now and get a 7D sometime later as a second camera/video camera (plusses-2 cameras, frame rate, have a newer camera right now) or keep saving and get a 5d2 (plusses-ISO sensitivity, full frame).

not sure how much you do at high iso, but 1600 was the max for me with my 1dmk2N. the H (or 3200) desperately needed noise reduction in post.

I did a few weddings with it, but the 5dII is light years beyond in all aspects except AF. I'd hold out for the 5d II for $1500 or so.

Seconded on waiting for the 5D2. The 5D2 is better in every way expect for the AF and build quality.

thanks guys, thats what i figured! it was pretty much a decision between having a camera now and a 2nd camera later for the same price of getting one better camera later. i kinda just have cash burning a hole in my pocket (and the allure of 1D awesomeness) haha.

The 1D2 is great but it's low light performance is no match against the 5D2. And since you do weddings, I would assume that low light performance is very important for you. It's much better to just wait
