We took the dog for a walk on Christmas Day and I grabbed the camera fitted with the Peleng 8mm fisheye for some fun shots. This one was, I think, the pick of the bunch.
When shooting the children with this lens, I quite often just leave the camera hanging around my neck and push the shutter without using the viewfinder. The results are usually more natural, as my children love to play up to a camera.
As in this case, the image usually needs rotating to straighten the horizon and is then cropped, losing some of the fisheye effect.

I really like this shot Paul. Looks like a beautiful day to spend with your family.
I have considered getting the Peleng. Have you been happy with it?

I've had mine a few months now and spent a bit of time playing around with it. For the money, you can't really go wrong.
The lack of auto focus isn't a problem, since the depth of field is so long - on bright days like yesterday, I just set it to f11, set the camera to aperture priority and fire away. Shooting into the sun with a bit of fill flash produces some great results IMO.
Here are a few more from yesterday.

Very nice shots. Interesting lens for sure. Are you using it with a Canon? Sounds like the mounting might be tough but the results are great.

OK Paul, I'm gonna hold you to your word. I just ordered the lens. I have considered buying the Peleng for quite awhile and your excellent shots finally convinced me to "go for it". I'll post some pictures as soon as I get it. :D

Yes, I'm using it on my trusty old D60. Do a search on E-bay - a guy on there sells them with Canon mounts fitted and mine also came with Nikon and Pentax screw mounts in the box. Delivery was about 6 weeks to the UK from Belarus.

AS I said before, I really don't think that you will regret it. I look forward to seeing the results.
