IMO the Fuji X100 is pretty similar to the Leica X1/X2. What if Fuji creates a camera like Leica's M9 / M, but with their own twist? Pretty freaking sweet!

Given that Fujifilm cameras can also take Leica lenses (with a Fuji M-mount adaptor), this could be very interesting. It all comes down to the Fuji sensor vs the Leica sensor - whichever one can give better DR, better ISO and more megapixels will win, since they can both use Leica lenses anyway.

I'd more than welcome a three-way contest between Fuji, Sony and Leica. Bonus points if they can come out with a 14mm-or-wider lens that takes filters.

Well, the Fuji isn't a rangefinder and that is a plus or minus depending on who you talk to. It isn't exactly a straight comparison.

The new Leica M also uses live view.
