I posted up my T2i on a few places because I want to upgrade to a 7D. Is $500 a reasonable price? Too high, too low? It's in great condition and I bought it used on ebay only about two months ago for $560..

(Since I can't post in the buy/sell section yet..and didn't see this as a fitting topic to post there anyway...)

TBH consumer cameras are a dime a dozen and lose value very fast. The life cycle of the rebel series is only 6-8 months before a newer better version comes out.

You qualify to post in the buy sell with 93 posts. Good luck with sale, your asking price may be a little high?

Is that the body only or with kit lens? If it is body only $500.00 is too high. They are selling Canon T2i's for $425.00 with box and everything that came with it. I seen some for $475.00 with kit lens and everything that came with it. So depending on condition and what comes with it, I would say $400.00-$425.00.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I have my T2i for sale on Kijiji in Canada.. $600CAD Firm. That's the 18-55 IS kit, with a spare Canon battery, EW-60C lens hood and 8GB SDHC. Box and all contents. Have had a few bites, but the typical ones that never get back to you.

I just sold my Rebel XS 18-55 IS kit about 8 weeks ago on there, for $325CAD. That was also with a spare Canon battery, Hoya UV filter, and 4GB SanDisk Extreme III. ;)

If you're not in a hurry, you can price a little higher, and eventually get your price.

$375 would be about right if you are really serious about selling quickly, on here anyway. An almost new, refurb would be in the $400-$425 range I believe.

I recently sold my T2i (550D) body with an 18-55 IS II kit lens for £300 which is about the same price. It was fully boxed, in excellent condition and had everything with it as new. Was disappointed to sell it at that price for such a good camera but needed to put some cash towards a new 70-200 2.8 MkII and it was the least valuable thing I'd got to sell. Your price seems to be ok for the camera and lens kit, but a bit too much for a body only.
