I have yet to be tempted by anything over at Nikon. As far as I am concerned, other than better dynamic range they have nothing over Canon. The ergonomics are terrible (to me) and I just find Canon menus and operations so much superior. I have played with a few Nikon's and I am never that impressed operationally.

Both Canon and Nikon offer more than capable cameras. It's not about IQ and stuff I am talking about here, but more how it feels in the hand and ease of use.

Plus the service I get with Canon CPS is outstanding. I have heard nothing but horror stories with Nikon. That alone is a big red flag to me.

I am happy as can be with what I have, so I am not tempted with other companies offerings. Perfectly happy.

You've obviously never held a D4 in your hands. I cried. And I like Canon.

Everyone is different Elray. As for me, I'm adaptable. Even when I shot Leica, it was a different feel and it takes time to get used to. :)

I am too. If it has a shutter button, I'll make it work.

Wow very nice but are those the dreaded dust spots I have read about or something else. The latest searches indicate many d600 owners possibly getting specks from excessive dust or the mirror rubbing? Anyone having these issues?

That looks like dirt and sand being kicked up by the player.
That said, yes the dust issues exist, I think the 5D2 exhibited the same thing.
To the OP, I own a D600. Hell I've owned a LOT of cameras. I've taken a lot of pictures and never has the camera really mattered (except for sports). The D600 is a truly great camera, but everything is nowadays. If you can talk yourself out of it, that would be the best thing!

that spot by her arm is too big to be sand/dirt? quite a lot of little spots everywhere.

I have been giving great thought into selling what little I have and moving into the d600 (the dynamic range for landscapes would be great for my use); however, I may wait until this gets resolved or just go with my original plan a used 5d mark ii. I have seen sever speculations on what causes the excessive dust/oil from an opening in the shutter to the mirror hitting and rubbing off particles?

I love both systems. In my humble short time with photography as a hobby (7+ years). I find either system to be GREAT.

The D600 for the money is hard to beat. Just takes great shots.

But I miss my canon at times, just cause I"m used to the menus for all them years and know everything their is to know about the canon bodies I had (Buttons, menu etc).

If you have 10k gear its not worth the hassle in switching the systems all the time.
