The reflection and the shape, color, value, and DoF are superb. Very pleasing to look at. Great job! NatGeo worthy for sure.

Thanks for the responses guys...I've got a lot of pictures of that bird that spent it's summer in our back pond, The things you do for yourself die with you, the things you do for others live forever.

navydoc Cream of the Crop More info | I like the reflection and bowed branch that creates an oval frame. I might try a portrait crop from just outside that branch. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

Sep 28, 2012 13:56 | #15 Not brutal but my honest cc. Greens are a bit overdone, and I think it would look better if cropped tighter with the heron more on the left and not so centered (and landscape). Was this cropped a lot already? Anyway to get closer to the bird? If this was with your 300, get a TC on there. That lens does great with one. It would be nice to see what he caught. I do like the reflection and envy that you have access to a pond like that. 6D | 7D MkII | 16-35 f4L | 35 f1.2L II | 135 f2L | 180 f3.5L | 400 f5.6L
