He did made 2 layers in photoshop and bottom one had opacity reduced for a 50%(more less) and top layer was only a lens part with a lens hood that was left as original part of the picture...

More or less, two photos shot from a tripod, one of just the camera the other of me holding the camera. The camera only photo was used as the bottom layer and me and the camera was the top layer with opacity reduced.
