I snapped these at the SS Great Britain in Bristol Docks yesterday.

agree with above :)

tighter in on a few of these [macro or maybe just more zoom] would make for an interesting set, like the different textures of each item, and then one or two pull backs as you've posted.

Yes, going tighter in might have been interesting, I will try that if I get another opportunity. Macro is out of the question though, those spools are about 3 feet high and the each chain link was probably six inches long - big enough to stop a large ship going anywhere.:)
