I am thinking about picking up a 35mm Rokinon. I do both video and still photography. Would you recommend that I get the photo version? How well does it work with a follow focus? I have heard that they make a de-clicked photo version of the lens, is this true? Any issues with a matte box? Thanks!

Yeah, I've seen that. I was sure they made a de-clicked version though. I could be wrong. I have de-clicked a few old primes and its pretty easy, I just don't like to do it. Especially with new lenses.

I'm tempted. Only problem is that I also do quite a bit of still photography. I'm sure I could still make it work on the cinema lens, but what I'm trying to figure out is if I will have more difficulty using the photo version for video or the cine version for photography.

Hello all, I started a thread a while ago about the Rokinon Cine lenses, there are some reference links in the thread that may help you in what direction to go.
